Tink and Élections Montréal: A fourth vote of confidence.
For the fourth time in a row, Tink will handle the digital component of the City of Montreal’s municipal election results. This year, voters head to the polls on November 6 and 7, 2021. This mandate consists in ensuring that the ballots cast among all 1.1 million eligible voters are counted within a very tight timeframe and without any mistakes. The election results will then be published on elections.montreal.ca and made available to the general public and the media.
Once everyone has cast their ballot, more than 14,000 statements of votes will be compiled in order to reveal the results for all 103 elected positions to the citizens of Montreal. This year, due to COVID-19, exceptional measures (link in French) will be put in place to enable Montrealers to vote safely.
« Tink is extremely proud that the City of Montreal has renewed its confidence in us for the fourth time in a row regarding such a sensitive public service mission. Data security, the accuracy of the results, and the performance of the systems in place are top priorities for our teams, who will be working closely with municipal election authorities. In addition, the delivery time frames are fixed; waiting several days to ensure that the numbers compiled are accurate is not an option.»
Stéphane Guérin, Vice-President of Solutions Development, Tink.
Fortunately, Tink can rely on 25 years of experience with major Quebec clients in the banking, health, insurance, and retail industries to ensure that all election data is processed securely and that the results are delivered without issue.
